Production Techniques • How to do this effect?

Hi,

I would like to know how to do this kind of effect you can hear around (4:22).
I'm talking about this stab kind of sound, you can hear it kind of slow down etc.

I'm using Logic and have no clue how to do it.

I also wonder how do they make that psytrance kind of sound around (0:50) so wide?
